PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS

Monday, April 24, 2017

8:00 am

Fair Lending Reports & Maps – Noelle, Tim & Joe Herrera, Fair Lending Officer at Bank SNB

8:00 am - 12:00 pm

SOFTWARE CLASS
This session will show you how to set up and utilize the Matched Pairs reports for decisions, pricing and steering and maybe a few outside-the-box options. We will also cover reports to help you find areas of risk in pricing, underwriting and levels of assistance and how to streamline your Fair Lending report analysis utilizing ReportPro. Mapping related to Fair Lending will also be covered.

8:00 am

The New HMDA Reg – Marci & Kawiana

8:00 am - 12:00 pm

REGULATORY CLASS
By now we are sure you have heard more than one presentation on the 2018 HMDA changes, but in case you want to hear it one more time, this is your chance. The session will focus on the regulatory components of this change; it will not emphasize how the changes apply to the CenTrax software.

1:00 pm

CRA Reports – Marci & Kawiana

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

SOFTWARE CLASS
Discover the tools, resources and analysis needed to accurately evaluate your lending performance to Be Exam Ready. Learn which reports you can use to prepare your own self-evaluation as we look at what examiners use to write your official Performance Evaluation.

1:00 pm

Lessons Learned: Enforcements & Case Studies – Noelle & Tim

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

REGULATORY CLASS
In this session we will talk about recent enforcement actions and look at ways that you can help protect your institution. Although this is not a hands-on CenTrax class, we will show and provide examples of how you can use the software to achieve your analytical goals.

PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

8:00 am

Data Collection & DataPro (Emphasis on 2018 Changes) – Noelle & Tim

8:00 am - 10:45

SOFTWARE CLASS
We know a lot of you are concerned about how your data collection efforts will change to comply with the 2018 changes. This class will focus on the data collection features and how to streamline your process using the tools in CenTrax. These tools are available for all types of data (Consumer Loans, CRA, etc.), so even if you don’t work with HMDA this class will still apply, and we will use the 2018 changes for our live example.

8:00 am

Community Development – Marci & Kawiana

8:00 am - 10:45 pm

REGULATORY CLASS
Which banks must collect and report Service and Investment activity in an Exam? All banks, regardless of size, must make this information available to the examiners during their CRA exam. Each CRA Exam has two or three parts, depending on your bank’s size and standing: Lending, Service, and Investment tests; or Lending and Community Development. How do you collect and report it all? Learn a way to collect, qualify and report internally and to examiners both your Service and Investment activity overall and by each of your Assessment Areas.

11:00 am

A view from the eagle’s nest. Viewpoints on leadership, focus, and vision.

11:00 am - 12:00 pm

This is a rare opportunity to learn from Bank of America’s former CEO Hugh McColl and CFO Marc Oken on what it took to build the largest bank in the United States. Learn how teamwork, grit, and determination will benefit your firm and your personal growth goals.

1:00 pm

Mapping – Felicia

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

SOFTWARE CLASS
In this session you will learn how to use the CenTrax mapping interface to answer important questions about your data for both CRA Exam preparations and Fair Lending analysis. With just a few extra steps, we will show you how to save your custom themes and views to make each mapping session simpler.

1:00 pm

Pressure Points: Working Through the Pain – Noelle & Tim

1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

REGULATORY CLASS
In this town-hall-style session, we want you to teach us. What are you struggling with? This can be anything from not knowing how to approach a problem with your data collection or analysis to things you find too hard about using the software. Anything is fair game. We will have some examples from past conversations with users to get us started.

Navigating the Customer Journey
Jim is the head of Customer Success at MURAL and will focus on the interaction (internally and externally) of the customer journey for the best outcome. The context of business has changed over the last decade or so. Consumers have real power: they have access to prices, product information, and alternative providers around the world. Focusing on the customer experience is not a nice-to-have, it’s mission critical. The use of systematic, visual representations exposes previously unseen opportunities for improvement and for growth. In this sense, mapping is a foundational activity that helps organizations shift their perspective from inside-out to outside-in. But diagrams are no silver bullet. They don’t provide answers outright. Instead, a map is a catalyst for conversation across teams. Only with a common, cross-functional perspective can an organization become truly customer centric.
